Score: 8.75/15 Concluded by my actual tasting notes.
Nose: Top note of pineapple, apricot, hawaiian star fruits, ripe intense, lack depth.
Flavor: Sugar bamboo cane, lack subtleties, very ripe fruits. Mid palate reveal a little apple & minerals. General bit rough, unsettled, finish with pineapple & pepper. Lacks persistence.

2) Peter Michael - Chardonnay - La carriere - Knight Valley - Sonoma - 2007

First of all the wine was served too cold.
Nose has more definitions. Pear, green apple up front with mineral behind the curtain. it’s quite predictable flavors of fine chardonnay.
The attack is progressively revealing flavors of grapefruits, toasty banana, pepper & apple. Much more refine texture compare to Belle cote. Good balance of acidity echoing with minerals. Finish is long with pinapple, minerals gliding along.

3) Peter Michael - Les Pavots - Knight Valley - Sonoma - 2006

Score: 17.5/20
First hint of oak on the nose, well extract. smells like skin of dark cherries, a bit toasty. bit tight at beginning.
Very refine from mid palate onwards. Traces of minerals & Tannins, cherries, blackcurrants. Concentrated but not over done. Finish with lots of subtle nuances like rose petals, root vegetables. Its gonna be much interesting in 5-6 year time.
The Les Pavot has always been consistent to me. One of my favorite meritage style in California.
The vineyard situated approx. 1200 ft up by east sonoma mountain, nestled in the AVA called Knight valley. Soils are rocky, volcanic type.
The fruits harvested during October 21-31, 2006. Spent 18 months in french oak. Vines are average of 20 years old
Cépage: 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cab. Franc, 8% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot
Pretty much a Bordeaux blend.
